About Lorem Ipsum

Lorem Ipsum is a pseudo-Latin text used in web design, typography, layout, and printing as a placeholder for meaningful content. It has been the industry's standard dummy text since the 1500s when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. The original text comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC.
